Politics of Aesthetics: Analyzing the relationship between politics and art in Jacques Ranvier’s thought
Through the review of the work of Jacques Raniere, this research aims to explore the relationship between art and politics in his thought. According to Raniere, politics has an aesthetic nature and art has a political instinct. He assumes politics and art as various forms of "disagreement", to discuss about these two realms. According to Ranvier’s thought, politics and art each in its own way by default the equality, causes the redistribution of the sensible, and by creating various forms of innovation, set free Speech and expression from their intended roles, and within the integration and solidarity, open the borders of experimentation and emancipation. According to Ranvier’s theory, "politics of aesthetics" help to build a context of a shared experience, an experience where new forms of constructing common objects and new possibilities of subjective expression which represents the "aesthetics of politics" can be spread.
