The Achaemenid Empire's Sovereignty and World Domination After Darius the Great
The vast and extensive empire established by Cyrus the Great and skillfully managed by Darius the Great initially succeeded in creating a new method of interaction among the subject nations. However, gradually after Darius, it faced fractures and turmoil. This issue can be examined from various perspectives. On one hand, the matter of succession and the crown prince became a primary concern for governance shortly after the death of each king. On the other hand, the numerous provinces under the central court's rule, with the diminishing direct oversight of the king, moved towards relative autonomy and a feudal-like system. Additionally, the military's lack of cohesion and coordination posed further threats to the Achaemenid sovereignty and world domination following Darius's death.
