Discourse on Social Welfare in Iran: Equality and Political Engagement in Jacques Rancière’s Theory; A Case Study: Iranian Women during the Constitutional Era
According to Jacques Rancière, the contemporary French philosopher and thinker, the political sphere is fundamentally linked to equality. In this context, when women during the Constitutional Era succeeded in voicing their concerns to men and those in power, we encounter what constitutes a "political matter." Many female subjects from this era remain unnoticed, as our perspectives and the theoretical frameworks of existing research have historically provided little opportunity for their voices to be seen and heard. Thus, Rancière's approach to politics serves as the theoretical framework for my doctoral dissertation, allowing marginalized women to emerge as political subjects, gradually positioning themselves within the public gaze.
