The survey on citizens and travelers in Isfahan regarding the National Museum of Arts of Isfahan (non-visitors)

Conducted to assess the awareness and engagement of individuals with the museum, the survey on 200 residents of Isfahan, who frequented the streets surrounding the National Museum of Arts, revealed that approximately 90 percent of respondents had never heard of the museum, and only a small number were familiar with its exhibits and displays. This finding indicates a significant gap in information dissemination and visitor attraction to the museum. Furthermore, nearly 75 percent of the participants in the survey stated that the museum's subject matter does not rank among their cultural and recreational priorities, and therefore, they do not consider visiting it.

Among the questions posed in this survey, the most important features that residents of Isfahan identified as desirable for a museum included showcasing prominent national and local artworks, the presence of ancillary facilities such as restaurants and cafés, visual and auditory attractions, parking, and a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere. These responses suggest that to attract a larger audience, the museum must not only focus on content and artworks but also pay attention to creating suitable infrastructure and service facilities.

In light of the results of this survey, the officials of the National Museum of Arts of Isfahan must undertake serious reforms in their programs. In this regard, conducting awareness and promotional campaigns could enhance the community's understanding of the museum. Organizing special events and exhibitions related to local culture and art could also help attract individuals interested in art and culture. Additionally, establishing ancillary facilities such as a restaurant and café within the museum environment could encourage visitors to remain in the cultural and artistic space.

In addition, focusing on the development of recreational and family spaces, especially for children, can attract families to visit the museum. Adding auditory and visual attractions, such as multimedia shows and interactive experiences, can help transform the museum into an entertaining and educational environment that meets the needs of the community. Furthermore, facilitating access to the museum through public transportation services and providing adequate parking is also crucial for attracting visitors. These changes and improvements can contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Isfahan National Museum of Arts, making it one of the important cultural destinations in the city.
